Quote of the day—Treborleeks

Please lawmakers, take away all my rights. I will be safe, then and only then. Your kind and benevolent actions are the only way I make it through the day. Your laws are always just and your wisdom shines above all others.

Feed me, clothe me, shelter me, amen.

Comment to Gun control now!!!
[Slaves need to be properly cared for. And of course slaves should never be allowed to own firearms. That is the conclusion I keep coming back to when I read and listen to the advocates of gun control and other “liberal” political philosophies.—Joe]

  1. “It’s not an endlessly expanding list of rights — the ‘right’ to education, the ‘right’ to health care, the ‘right’ to food and housing. That’s not freedom, that’s dependency. Those aren’t rights, those are the rations of slavery — hay and a barn for human cattle.”

  2. I have to echo BobG’s comments: often, the best way to destroy our rights, and to make us slaves, is to convince us that certain things that are properly responsibilities–education, health care, food, housing, retirement, etc–are “rights”. By doing this, those in power will then convince us to clamour for more “rights”, while adding restrictions to our lives as conditions for receiving these things.

It’s an evil spiral: steal from us, bribe us with our own money, enslave us, and then rinse and repeat when we complain that the “rights” they give us are suboptimal.
