Quote of the day—Alan Gottlieb

By naming Greg Nickels as an alternate representative at the UN President Obama has essentially told America’s 85 million gun owners that their firearm civil rights are in jeopardy. Nickels cannot be counted on to defend the Second Amendment because he would like to see it erased from the Constitution.

OBAMA REVEALS ANTI-GUN U.N. INTENT; SENDS EX-SEATTLE MAYOR AS REP
[Sometimes politics can be discouraging.

We got rid of him after he messed up in Seattle so badly that he lost in the primary. Now he is given the opportunity to mess up on a global scale. He should have been sent to Federal prison where he couldn’t do so much harm to everyone.—Joe]

  1. Don’t forget Title 18, Sec 241 Conspiracy Against Rights… That one’s a FELONY.

Since he had the city council(?) work on a way to get around the law, the conspiracy (two or more people acting in concert) would be very easy to prove.

  2. A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away (1995 in Texas, as opposed to where I’m at now, South Dakota) I met a musical comic (ala Ray Stevens or Cletus T. Judd) named Reed Boyd. Said comic was from Little Rock, and funny as all get out. Whenever we went to see him, we’d always give him grief about being from Arkansas and Slick Willy. And he’d always reply, “He’s not in Arkansas screwing us anymore, he’s your problem now.”

I see the same thing happening here with Nickels. Since the voters of Seattle saw fit to give him the size 10 heave-ho, he’s been rewarded with a cushy job at the UN. Nothing says you messed up in government like getting rewarded by being kicked up stairs to a big cushy office. He was originally Seattle’s problem, now he’s everyones problem.

  3. Phssthpok,

USC 18, 242 is the one I linked to and is more appropriate that 241. 242 is infringement under the color of law. No need to even prove conspiracy.
