I ran across this post today and had to read the bold (added by me) section below twice to make sure I read it correctly:

What???
What sort of perverted definition of “right” does this guy have? And to further confound things this is on the website of a lawyer who specializes, among other things, in criminal law. A lawyer who apparently has read the Bill of Rights sufficiently close to know you have right to an attorney and to not incriminate yourself. But yet, yesterday, still wasn’t aware that the Second Amendment guarantees a specific enumerated right to keep and bear arms.
He compares “undocumented gun owners” to “undocumented immigrant workers”. Where is the “clue bat”? “Undocumented workers” entered the country illegally and are working here illegally. Gun ownership with or without “documentation”, in of itself, is a guaranteed right and is not illegal.
I wondered, “What could possibly get this guy so confused?” I then noticed his address. It is Oxnard California. They drink a lot of Kool-Aid down there.
Well, I just tired to leave the below comment. They moderate so we’ll see if they have the courage of their convictions and post it.

I have to travel to Pt. Mugu for work and often stay in Oxnard while doing so.
If I ever need legal representation while in the area, Now I’ll know at least one legal firm to avoid like the plague.
If that’s your idea of “logic” and “reason”, I can’t imagine how…um…interesting…your legal defense theories must be.
Just out of curiosity, please list the rights, along with the constitutional amendment that protects them, that are violated by American Citizens freely exercising their Second Amendment rights and/or engaging in private transactions involving personal property without the permission of government.
Oh…and those “undocumented gun owners?”…they’re law abiding Americans as well…unlike your example of “undocumented immigrant workers”…i.e. ILLEGAL aliens.
I’m also curious about whether you consider yourself an “undocumented journalist” by publishing a blog? Shouldn’t you have to be licensed and vetted by the government before being permitted to spout inanities in a forum open to the public? If it’s good for one right, why not the rest? How about legal representation? If you’re not documented and registered, you aren’t permitted legal representation. Sounds fair to me…’course that would play hell with your poor “undocumented immigrant workers” now wouldn’t it?
