Quote of the day–NotaPIFan

I’ve noticed a trend with right wing fascists, like the above-commentators. When a poll shows findings that counter their wacky ideas, challenge the credibility of the poll. Why do we allow a minority of crazy, right wing people who believe the earth was created in 6 days and in faith healing to so dominate our political discussions? Can’t we just send them to a farm where they can live out their cloudy-minded days in peace and without harming the rest of civilization?

[“Send them to a farm”? Didn’t Joseph Stalin do that as he was trying to implement his utopia?

Denial of civil rights, reeducation camps, and gulags–it’s what communists/socialists/liberals/progressives do. It’s in their nature and they can’t help it–but you can.–Joe]

  1. Yep, sometimes the antis tip their hand a bit and tell the truth. They want their dream utopia to happen, and any failure of past social experiments is simply the fault of the non-believers. If to achieve their goal they have to round the non-believers up and kill or imprison us, that’s fine with them.

Of course if we have guns that won’t go over too well when they attempt to crush and silence us…so they hate guns.

  2. I find it interesting that so many liberals assume that all gun owners are the same: backwoods, undereducated, hick bible thumpers. For all the liberal hype about multiculturalism and inclusiveness, they fail to recognize that gun owners probably include a much larger cross section of American society than the anti-gunners do.

  3. For some reason many do not object to the thought of camps with this preface. “As long as it isn’t me, do it to them over there.”

I find this quote equally fitting with why you call yourself a red-necked, knuckle dragging, Neanderthal. They seem to think we’re all bubba who live in Bobby Boucher’s shack in the Louisiana swamp and have squirrel for desert.

I find it telling though that people who put that kind of crap and claim that we’re uneducated are usually trying to make themselves feel better than they really are. Because anyone with any real education knows that basic 20th century history says, “That is a really !@#$ing bad idea.”

According to them though your MS, BS EE counts for nothing in their eyes, if you were really smart you would have gotten a degree in business. Funny thing is, that’s where the engineering drop outs go. (I wish the flowchart from my IEEE shirt was online. Sometime I’ll make a copy for you.)

  4. I see no shame in being a backwoods, undereducated hick bible-thumper. When’s the last time a backwoods, undereducated hick bible-thumper forced you to surrender your property, liberty and the means to defend your life? For absolutely nothing in return.

Commenter gets bonus points for ridiculing creationist’s belief in spontaneous change, and in the same paragraph also suggesting that thousands of years of human behavior and civilization will spontaneously change based on an historically unremarkable shift in some political belief. Plus misusing “fascist”. Isn’t an incorporation of business and government for the purposes of control….you know, “corporatism”? Oh wait, my bad, they think “corporatism” means turning a profit.

  5. According to them though your MS, BS EE counts for nothing in their eyes…

This. I’ve been in discussions where the other participants began treating me like a dolt once they found out I’m a (your pick – Christian – conservative – libertarian – gun owner).

  6. For some reason many do not object to the thought of camps with this preface. “As long as it isn’t me, do it to them over there.”

“Do it to Julia! Do it to Julia! NOT ME!”
