Quote of the day–Abraham Lincoln

If you once forfeit the confidence of your fellow citizens, you can never regain their respect and esteem. It is true that you may fool all the people some of the time; you can even fool some of the people all the time; but you can’t fool all of the people all of the time.

  1. That quote should be permanently posted in the Oval Office, where the POTUS can see it every time he sits at his desk.
    Just my opinion.

  2. RobG; Anything can and will be misinterpreted. In this case it would be trivial. POTUS would think it only applies to corporations.

Like Joe said the other day, different people can look at the same thing and see it completely differently, to the point of seeing polar opposites.
