Quote of the day–Sebastian

One of the things that’s always been amazing about the left is that they do such an effective job of making people’s paranoid delusions seem to not, in fact, be paranoid delusions.

  1. I think the problem is that the left is prone to certain solutions to problems, that when taken as a whole, can be easily explained by a conspiracy to make things that way. The left trusts international institutions a great deal, which makes them prone to promoting solutions to problems that use those institutions. Though it’s not just international institutions, but national institutions as well, which is why if they slap an agency on the wrist, and get assurances that they won’t burn women and children ever again, well, that’s enough. Trust the institution.

It might not be a conspiracy, but that doesn’t make the thinking any less dangerous.

  2. The left always puts their trust in the Central Committee. Never mind the Central Committee has murdered tens of millions of people.

I’ve literally had people tell me that the group is more important than the individual and use that as a justification for ignoring the Bill of Rights.

And speaking of “education” it was a professor of business that told me that.

  3. The fortunate thing is, I seem to recall reading that younger professors don’t buy into the standard left wing crap to the same extent that older ones do. That would be welcome if it’s true.
