Quote of the day–Barbara Scott

I want to go break the law.

  1. I have my grandfather’s copy of Robinson Crusoe from the early 1900s. Under this law, I wonder whether it will be legal to pass it on to my grandchildren. I don’t intend to obey such a stupid law, if that is the case.

The trouble is that when the law becomes so stupid that normal people stop obeying the law, the concept of the rule of law becomes a joke. Then, we lose another piece of the foundation of civilization.

  2. “I aim to misbehave.” – Malcom Reynolds, Firefly Transport Serenity, Commanding

  3. Ditto to the above.
I have many old, and to me, precious books in my “library”, that I plan on passing down to my inherators (whoever they may be).

I think one of the worst of human sins, deserving of the lowest circles of Dante’s hell, are those that destroy books, and therefore ideas, “just because”. Prime example, the Nazis.

The SocLibLefts are running a very tight second with this foolishness. Has anyone asked them to document any actual damage? As opposed to their imaginary “what if” damage?

Maybe, under their same line of reasoning, we should ban and destroy SocLibbers, as we can show ACTUAL damage . . to our freedoms and liberties.
