Quote of the day–Alan Gottlieb

For years, the gun prohibitionist lobby has perpetuated a sense of fear against armed citizens in various public venues, including restaurants, Yet in Washington State, where the Citizens Committee is headquartered, it has been legal for many years to carry firearms in restaurants that serve alcohol, and it has not resulted in the kind of violence predicted by opponents of the Tennessee measure.

  1. My wife and I fell asleep last night to a “Frasier” episode that started in the characters’ favorite Seattle coffee shop. As they’re at the bar ordering, Roz notices a guy with a gun IWB and gasps “He’s got a gun!” Of course the fellow attempts to steal a purse but he’s thwarted by another character who grabs the gun from him as he flees. I thought with amusement about Hollywood screenwriters’ continued ignorance of the march of shall-issue CCW across the country, and fell asleep with a smile on my face.
