McMillan makes good stocks

I won’t be buying HS Precision any time soon. I have a HS Precision stock on my Spud Gun and really like it. But not if they are going to be associating with people like Horiuchi. Horiuchi was a sniper and had kills at Ruby Ridge and (allegedly) Waco.

I would like to suggest McMillan stocks as a great alternative.

  1. There’s another “Precision” stock maker out there – Brown Precision. He originated the “fiberglass” stock. I’ve had one on my .300 for over 20 years, and it was a definite improvement over the the original wood stock.

When I went to the range for sight-in, 3 shots were enough to convice me to ship it to Magnaport for a little work. The almost 3 pound lighter stock let a lot more kick through, and the Magnaporting took it back down to about the original level of recoil.

Downside – I’m confined to the far end of the range firing line in the “muzzle brake” ghetto.
