The good news is that 90 to 95% of the people from New Orleans have reached the evacuation areas, and have voluntarily taken wrist bracelets with bar codes on them so they could be safely evacuated, according to FOX news, 8/30/08.
Just think about that.

Bar Coding People

I met a German imigrant in the Frisco Bay Area forty years ago. He had a code . . . under his right arm.
Since hurricanes hit the gulf so often, the bar codes should be tattooed into the skin. Likewise, camps should be set up for these folk were they can work for their keep. Really, we can never know where disaster might strike so, just to be fair, we should all get the mark, and camp assignments. Just in case.
Soon it will be RFID tags… after all, they can’t wash off either, don’t take as long as tatoos, and can be read from a distance.

I’m still trying to figure out how a barcode gets you to safety any faster. Does this bracelet include some sort of teleportation device, or a force field that repels water and diverts wind-driven projectiles? Didn’t Wonder Woman have something like that?
I believe it must be similar to a gun law– words on paper that will protect you, in some way that is never explained, from an aggressor. It’s there, we’re told it will protect us, but the mechanism by which it will do us any good is inexplicable.
