  2. Yup. Completely disconnected from reality, and with zero concept of human rights.

    Public education has been a great success. I mean that. All the anti-American, socialist propaganda in the world could never have achieved such ends without it.

    But we can take some comfort in the fact that many such people are eager to let us know what they think. They should be encouraged. I choose to see it as negative publicity for the left in general, and for public education in particular.

    So JadeGold, if you’re reading this, please, please keep your thoughts coming. You’re helping to identify, and highlight, the problem we face.

Yup… it was comments like the one you quoted (along with him digging up information on me and my family, and then trying to use it as leverage against me) that convinced me that trying to engage in anything even approximating a rational debate with Jade was a completely and utterly lost cause. Granted, Lyle has a wonderful point as well – Jade’s comments are wondefully useful for our cause… they just cause my head to hurt. Just trying to figure out where he is coming from is a workout on its own, much less trying to figure out exactly what he is saying…

  4. Linoge; I know exactly where he/she is coming from. I was one of “them” back in my younger years. It’s a long and convoluted process, but since it takes hold in one’s formative years, it’s as natural as breathing, same as learning to speak or to walk. You grow up in a culture and you just suck it all in like a hungry kitten.

    Read Bill Whittle’s “Magic” and “Seeing the Unseen” parts one and two, then read “Among the Bourgeoisophobes” by David Brooks, and you’ll have a pretty good clue of how the mindset works. In any case it’s some of the best reading you’ll find anywhere. Then there’s JPFO’s series of booklets on gun control. They’re a bit simple, but they were designed that way. Likely you’ve read some of this stuff already, but I offer it here as a little bibliography on the mental disorder that infects today’s American Left.

    I should probably write a thesis on this, but I will say that having been “deprogrammed”, it was very tough. There is a lot of resentment for having had the first 25 or 30 years of my life taken from me by these snarling little turds. I see it as a form of rape. They made such a damned, pathetic fool of me and there’s nothing I can do to get my childhood back.
