In addition to the email exchange yesterday I tried to engage a few others.

Regarding your opinion piece here: http://media.www.suujournal.com/media/storage/paper951/news/2008/02/19/Opinion/OpEd-Gun.Control.Laws.Will.Save.Lives-3219311.shtml

I have just one question for you: Can you demonstrate one time or place, throughout all history, where the average person was made safer by restricting access to handheld weapons?

  1. I have been quoting you Joe, ever since I read “Can you demonstrate one time or place, throughout all history, where the average person was made safer by restricting access to handheld weapons?” Dead nuts perfect response to any argument to disarm, any law abiding citizen…

  2. Thanks. That’s why I came up with it.

I just wonder if it actually does any good though. The way the anti-gun person brain “works” is completely foreign to me. It’s like we don’t share the same set of assumptions about reality, definitions of words, or rules of logic.
