Quote of the day–Winston Churchill

You have enemies? Good. That means you’ve stood up for something, sometime in your life.

Winston Churchill
[Remember that when you consider “biting your tongue” rather than offend an anti-freedom bigot who deserves to be offended or worse. If you don’t speak up for the things you most strongly believe in then you should not be surprised when you lose the things you most cherish..–Joe]

  1. Oh, but I hope someone else will take up the fight, defending my rights, so I don’t have to feeeeel uncooooomfortable.

Actually, it is my General Policy that no one in my presence will be allowed to feel comfortable attacking anyone’s rights, or promoting socialist ideas. If they end up screaming at me, (which has happened) or refusing to talk to me any further (which happens a lot) it is entirely their problem, while I will have done the right thing and felt good about it. My stance is that you can attack me for standing up for human rights, but in so doing you risk descrediting youself and looking like a fool, while I risk no more than I risk by being silent.
