With a policy that tightly controls guns or bans them altogether, colleges and schools can ensure that the only people carrying guns are their security guards and the police. This is the way it has likely always been, and schools are safer because of it. For maximum safety and security, this is the way it should always be.

  1. Unfortunately, history and politicians have demonstrated that if you keep repeating the same lie over and over and over again, with increasing conviction each time, if possible, people will start believing you. It does not matter if the information backs what you are saying, it does not matter if the statistics are on your side (inasmuch as they are on anyone’s side), and it does not matter if history backs what you are proposing… Repeat something often enough, and it gets down into people’s memories… psyches… whatever, and it sticks.

Of course, redefining words seems to have become a past-time of the morally-challenged as well, so there is that angle to boot.
