Traffic spike

Below is a graph of the traffic on my blog for the past week.  As I mentioned yesterday there was a spike in activity.  If I get much more I’ll need something more than a 2400 baud modem to handle it*.

* No.  My websites are not actually connected via a 2400 baud modem.  The web server, on top of my gun safe, is connected via a 768K DSL line.

  1. You know, if you’re hungry for hits, I think all you may need do is convince Gullyborg to prominently feature your “video” of the recent rock-exploding exercise in the next Carnival of Cordite. You might very well get an instalanche from Glenn Reynolds, since he does seem to read the Carnival from time to time.

  2. Sigh. The above comment was actually intended for your “Traffic Patterns” post below, but I obviously miffed it.

Anyway, there’s nothing wrong with your content — you just haven’t been exposed to a wide enough audience yet, IMHO.

  3. I’m not sure I would say I’m “hungry” for hits. Of course there is a certain about of pleasure in being popular. And I see that I earned something like $2.45 via Google Ads off of Mondays hits (average is about $0.20/day). Neither is worth getting particularly excited about.

In any case I sent an email for my entry. I probably should have done this earlier but I was never sufficiently motivated.
